The Todd County Falcons were the 60-44 winner over Valentine when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Todd County fell just short of Valentine by a score of 23-20.
Valentine was led to victory by Paige Sprenger and Kinsey Buechle. Sprenger scored 7 points along with 5 steals, while Buechle dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Buechle's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Todd County's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Valentine, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Todd County will head out on the road to face off against Chamberlain at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valentine, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Cozad at 3:30 p.m.
