Chaparral is 6-1 against Brighton since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wolverines will host the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Brighton will be up against a hot Chaparral team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Wolverines' pitcher stepped up to hand Eaglecrest an 8-0 shutout on Wednesday.
Not much got past Beckett Bacon, who gave up just a hit to keep Eaglecrest off the board. Bacon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colton Pamenter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was John Duncan, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Brighton, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against Mountain Range on Thursday as they made off with a 13-1 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Jude Bachicha made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bachicha was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other pitching news, Brighton got a great performance from Teagan Reininger as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The Bulldogs are 3-1 when Reininger allows three or fewer hits, but 2-3 otherwise.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Aaden Tate, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Brighton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Brighton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything went Chaparral's way against Brighton in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Chaparral made off with a 9-0 victory. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
