Manzano's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 11-5 margin over the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars. Considering the Monarchs have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Manzano's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coming up, Manzano will take on St. Pius X in a tournament on Saturday. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Albuquerque Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Albuquerque Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
