The Groton-Dunstable Crusaders will head out to challenge the Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Groton-Dunstable is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, Groton-Dunstable earned a 13-8 victory over Littleton. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Kaitlin Haggerty and Bridget Houle did most of the damage at the plate: Haggerty went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Houle went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. Those three runs gave Haggerty a new career-high. Kylie Deng also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Groton-Dunstable was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Littleton only posted a batting average of .259.
Meanwhile, Greater Lowell Tech hadn't done well against Whittier RVT recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Gryphons' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Gryphons have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Greater Lowell Tech got a massive performance out of Cora Wilder, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Ducharme, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Groton-Dunstable's record is now 2-3. As for Greater Lowell Tech, their record now sits at 6-1.
Groton-Dunstable's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's game. The Crusaders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Greater Lowell Tech, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Groton-Dunstable continue to outrun the ball?
Groton-Dunstable suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Greater Lowell Tech in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
