The Fort Wayne HomeSchool Hawks entered their tilt with the Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Fort Wayne HomeSchool came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 63-56 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Sam Newcomer, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevon Maley, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
David Hart and Dane Beery certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Hart almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Beery scored 20 points. Malachi Rinehart was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
Fort Wayne HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-13.
Fort Wayne HomeSchool and the will face off at 2:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Novi HomeSchool is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, they will face off against the Tornados on Friday. Tippecanoe HomeSchool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Eagles are ranked 180th).
