They received a tough blow as they fell 44-29 to Solid Rock Christian School. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ocean County Christian Academy in their matchups with Solid Rock Christian School: they've now lost three in a row.
Solid Rock Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Sa?aga led the charge by scoring 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Krykewycz , who scored eight points along with six steals.
Ocean County Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Solid Rock Christian School, the win (which was their seventh in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean County Christian Academy will square off against Calvary Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Solid Rock Christian School, they will head out on the road to face off against Independent Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Independent Baptist Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, Solid Rock Christian School a two-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
