The Gresham Gophers will head out on the road to face off against the Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gresham, who comes in off a win.
After only 23 points in their last contest, Gresham made sure to put some points up on the board against Roosevelt on Monday. Gresham walked away with a 57-46 victory over Roosevelt. Gresham's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, who are still winless after their fourth match. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Helens on Monday.
Gresham's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Gresham came up short against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 58-51. Can Gresham avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
