After a string of four wins, St. Martin's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the West Harrison Hurricanes. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Hurricanes when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
St. Martin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Harrison work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 27-25.
Kiyara Lee paced St. Martin's offense, picking up four kills. Lee got some help from Emma Chester and her eight assists. Camila Calderon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
St. Martin's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for West Harrison, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
