Arapahoe and ThunderRidge are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Warriors will take on the Grizzlies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last five games Arapahoe has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Arapahoe and Mountain Vista meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.

Sam Szczukowski tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Arapahoe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Lew, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for ThunderRidge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Denver North with a sharp 9-3 win on Wednesday. That six run margin sets a new team best for the Grizzlies this season.
Max Bills spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kyle Zebroski, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hudson Fagerholt, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
ThunderRidge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in three consecutive games.
Arapahoe is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for ThunderRidge, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.
Arapahoe came out on top in a nail-biter against ThunderRidge in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
