Attleboro is 8-1 against Foxborough since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bombardiers will face off against the Warriors at 3:45 p.m. Attleboro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Attleboro and Bishop Feehan, and Attleboro kept the tradition alive. The Bombardiers came out on top against the Shamrocks by a score of 8-4 on Friday. While the Bombardiers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Jeremy O'Hara made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Nick Daley tossed a big game, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Kelan Jones, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Antonio Bennett also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Foxborough had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against Seekonk as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Foxborough, who have now won three contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Attleboro is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Foxborough, their record is now 6-4.
Attleboro skirted past Foxborough 8-6 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Bombardiers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
