In what's become a running theme this season, Skidmore-Tynan gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on Three Rivers with a sharp 63-39 win. The score was close at the half, but Skidmore-Tynan pulled away in the second half with 36 points.
It was another big night for Cole Rivers, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Martinez, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Kenedy entered their tilt with Refugio with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kenedy enjoyed a cozy 61-46 win over Refugio on Friday.
Skidmore-Tynan is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. As for Kenedy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-10.
Skidmore-Tynan beat Kenedy 55-48 when the teams last played back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Kenedy's Samir Holloway, who scored 31 points.
