After flying high against the Bert Corona Charter Knights last Thursday, the Community Charter Titans came back down to earth. Community Charter was beaten by Triumph Charter 85-42 on Friday. Community Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 32 points. Another player making a difference was Kevin Rodriguez, who scored 13 points.
Community Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Triumph Charter, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Community Charter will take on CHAMPS at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (CHAMPS is ranked 1286th, while Community Charter is ranked 1287th). As for Triumph Charter, they will head out on the road to square off against Bert Corona Charter on Wednesday. Bert Corona Charter is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
