The Chamblee Bulldogs stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Tucker on the road to the tune of 59-31. Winning may never get old, but Chamblee sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Chamblee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alana Azeta led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Azeta is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Wood, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Tucker's loss came despite strong showings from Ka'nya Hairston and Kayla Bradley. Hairston scored 13 points, while Bradley scored eight points.
Chamblee is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Tucker, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Chamblee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tucker, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Columbia at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Columbia is coming into the game with six straight victories at home, so Tucker is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
