The Lake Worth Bullfrogs were the 45-0 winner over the Eastern Hills Highlanders when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Worth took a 30-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastern Hills. Lake Worth has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Worth lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Damion Hopkins. Despite the final result, he rushed for 158 yards while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also caught two touchdowns.
Kenwaun Durst went supernova for Eastern Hills, rushing for 199 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Durst was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Xavian Redd and his 99 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Eastern Hills' win.
Lake Worth's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Eastern Hills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Lake Worth will square off against China Spring at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. China Spring presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Worth in Texas (China Spring is ranked 115th, while Lake Worth is ranked 721st). Eastern Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
