Westminster Christian Academy has not had much luck with Brentwood recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Leading Brentwood to victory were Bailey Barron and Faith Archer. Barron dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Archer scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Barron has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was AnneMarie Sheppard, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Westminster Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Brentwood, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian Academy will take on Piedmont Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piedmont Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Westminster Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Brentwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gatewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gatewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Brentwood is ranked 79th).
