Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of LaFayette. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe has struggled against LaFayette recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe saw an underclassman step up: Tamoris Johnson rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns.
Khalas Finley went supernova for LaFayette, rushing for 196 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Finley's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Another player making a difference was Dawson Pendergrass, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
LaFayette's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Cody Davis and his two sacks.
Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for LaFayette, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Coahulla Creek is ranked 318th, while LaFayette is ranked 337th).
