The Niskayuna Silver Warriors had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Cornwall Central 49-14 on the road. Niskayuna's win was all the more impressive since Cornwall Central was averaging only 13.67 points allowed on the season.
Despite the loss, Cornwall Central still got an impressive performance from Connor Cruz, who picked up 124 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The win (which was Niskayuna's tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.7 points. As for Cornwall Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-1.
Niskayuna will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Somers at 6:00 p.m. on November 24th. Somers is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Cornwall Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
