Rochester STEM Academy pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 85-61 loss at the hands of Bethlehem Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Rochester STEM Academy has suffered since December 19, 2023.
Ilyas Hassan and Ismail Nur certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hassan scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals, while Nur scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Saeed Mohamed, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Rochester STEM Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Bethlehem Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochester STEM Academy will take on Plainview-Elgin-Millville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethlehem Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Randolph at 7:15 p.m.
