Softball Recap: Whitney Sets Scoring Season-High Against Glenn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitney). They blew past the Glenn Eagles 19-6 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Monicka Manni made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Manni was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Whitney let Chiugo Anyama and Amaya Dugal run wild. Anyama went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Dugal went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Dugal a new career-high. Olachi Anyama was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

With the win, Whitney broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Glenn, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

As of now, neither Whitney nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
