The Sulphur Bluff Bears lost against the Blue Ridge Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Sulphur Bluff fell just short of Blue Ridge by a score of 41-38.
Sulphur Bluff's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emerson Fite, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Servin, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Sulphur Bluff has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Blue Ridge, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.
Sulphur Bluff will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Campbell on December 28th. Blue Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Boles at 3:10 p.m. on December 28th. Boles is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
