The Hamilton Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Valley Mills Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Hamilton suffered a tough 63-38 loss at the hands of the Gladiators. Hamilton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Despite the loss, Hamilton had strong showings from Colter Johnson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, and Pierce Summers, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Valley Mills' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 68-32 loss at the hands of Rio Vista.
This is the second loss in a row for Hamilton and nudges their season record down to 12-13. As for Valley Mills, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.
Hamilton was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January, winning 53-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hamilton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
