That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addison Howell, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Clay County put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Macon County a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won five games by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Baylor Walden made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Haylen Garrison and Lila Birdwell did most of the damage at the plate: Garrison went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Birdwell went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Emma Wix was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. White County has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Clay County struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
