There's no place like home for The Atholton Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past Hammond 41-6 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Cameron Lee had a dynamite game for Atholton, rushing for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Lee's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Another player making a difference was Daniel Ogordi, who gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns.
Atholton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Hammond, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Atholton will head out on the road to face off against River Hill at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (River Hill is ranked 119th, while Atholton is ranked 126th). As for Hammond, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakland Mills at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
