Meanwhile, East Wilkes came up short against North Wilkes on Tuesday and fell 54-46. East Wilkes has struggled against North Wilkes recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
North Wilkes' defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for East Wilkes, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
North Wilkes beat East Wilkes 54-46 when the teams last played on Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Wilkes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
