If the Bordentown Scotties were feeling good off their 75-47 takedown of Doane Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bordentown took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holy Cross on Friday. Bordentown has struggled against Holy Cross recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Bordentown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Myles Hansford, who scored 14 points along with eight assists. That's the first time this season that Hansford posted eight or more assists. Eunmin Choi was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and four steals.
Bordentown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Holy Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bordentown's road trip will continue as they head out to face Burlington Township at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Burlington Township focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Holy Cross, they will head out on the road to face off against Westampton Tech at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
