If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Londonderry. On Friday they take on Spaulding at Spaulding - Bolin at 7:00 PM. Londonderry don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Londonderry faced Winnacunnet in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Londonderry snuck past Winnacunnet with a 38-34 win. Senior Evan Cormier, who passed for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Londonderry's success. Cormier has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Spaulding, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were given a punishing 6-48 defeat at the hands of Exeter.
Londonderry's victory lifted them to 5-1 while Spaulding's loss dropped them down to 0-6. We'll find out if Londonderry can add another positive mark to their record or if Spaulding can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Londonderry's step.
