They had to suffer through a rough 68-32 loss at the hands of Creekside Christian Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Community Christian in their matchups with Creekside Christian Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Creekside Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jai Holt, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Holt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaysha Furlow, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Creekside Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Christian will challenge Calvary Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Calvary Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Community Christian in Georgia (Calvary Christian is ranked 214th, while Community Christian is ranked 446th). As for Creekside Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Furtah Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
