The Gaithersburg Trojans had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over Richard Montgomery. 48 seems to be a good number for Gaithersburg as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
When it comes to explaining why Richard Montgomery lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Dixon jr. Despite the final result, he threw for 350 yards and four touchdowns. Dixon jr is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last four games he's played. Teshaun Ryals-wilson was another key contributor, picking up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Gaithersburg's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
