Adams Central is 10-0 against Lexington since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Adams Central Patriots' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Lexington Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. on February 8th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Adams Central faced Minden in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Adams Central received a tough blow as they fell 61-42 to Minden.
Meanwhile, Lexington's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 52-36 fall against Aurora. While losing is never fun, Lexington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Aurora is ranked 113th).
Adams Central's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-4. As for Lexington, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Adams Central took their victory against Lexington in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 49-25. Will Adams Central repeat their success, or does Lexington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
