The Bosque Bobcats lost against the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bosque fell 41-32 to the Coyotes. Bosque has struggled against the Coyotes recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Bosque still got an impressive performance from Ainsley Capps, who scored 17 points. Kiaaaanii Otero was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds.
Leading Cottonwood Classical Prep to victory were Ryah Carlson and Savannah Bingham. Carlson scored 16 points, while Bingham scored 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Carlson has scored at least a third of Cottonwood Classical Prep's points.
Bosque has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bosque will take on the Rattlers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tucumcari is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for Cottonwood Classical Prep, they will be playing at home against the Sundevils at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sandia Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
