Shades Valley won the last time they faced Minor and things went their way on Thursday too. The Shades Valley Mounties were the clear victor by a 19-3 margin over the Minor Tigers. Considering the Mounties have won three contests by more than 14 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kharly DeLaine was a standout: she scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Carleigh Blackwell was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Shades Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .512 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Shades Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Minor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3.

Coming up, Shades Valley will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Clay-Chalkville at 5:00 p.m. As for Minor, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Minor Tigers face off against Fultondale Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
