Conant can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Schaumburg Saxons 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since April 3rd.

Connor Kehoe and Nick Santos dominated on the mound. Kehoe pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Santos tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Santos posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jacob Szpiganowicz, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two runs, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andrew Lipka, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Conant's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 8-11-1.
