Football Recap: St. Pauls Skates Past E.E. Smith with Ease

St. Pauls strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 28 points or more this season.

A big part of St. Pauls' victory came down to the chemistry between Antonio Arnold and his top target Malikah Locklear. Arnold threw for 163 yards and four TDs on only 13 passes while Locklear picked up 96 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 96 receiving yards gave Locklear a new career-high. Aubrey Cobbs got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

St. Pauls didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dontez Leach and Jakhi Purcell. St. Pauls got some further help from Dezhian Roberts: he picked up four sacks and made nine total tackles (6.0 for loss).

St. Pauls' record is now 6-0. As for E.E. Smith, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Pauls will venture away from home to take on Seventy-First at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for E.E. Smith, they will take on South View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
