Valmeyer had a senior duo take command as Brooke Miller dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 rebounds and Kierstin Miller dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds. Miller has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Kaleigh Hicks was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Red Bud only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 45-point they dealt Sparta on Tuesday. Red Bud simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sparta 63-18 at home. With Red Bud ahead 32-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Valmeyer's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Red Bud, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
