The Yorktown Patriots's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They took down George C. Marshall 56-42. That's another feather in the cap for Yorktown, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yorktown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Maria, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Senkus, who scored 14 points along with two blocks.
The victory got Yorktown back to even at 8-8. As for George C. Marshall, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 12-5.
Yorktown will challenge Langley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Langley is ranked 136th, while Yorktown is ranked 148th). As for George C. Marshall, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Washington-Liberty at 7:30 p.m.
