Cheney has gone a perfect 5-0 against Ridgeline recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Blackhawks will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Cheney is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 26, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lewis & Clark 4-3.
Maddy Hurley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mia Ashcroft was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Millie Beito was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ridgeline, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Mead 13-11. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Ridgeline got a massive performance out of Quincy Coder, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Coder has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilley Triplett, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Ridgeline has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Cheney, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Cheney took their win against Ridgeline in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Blackhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
