After three games on the road, Rockport-Fulton is heading back home. They will take on the Orange Grove Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Rockport-Fulton suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 47-26 walloping at the hands of Ingleside. While losing is never fun, Rockport-Fulton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1224th, while Ingleside is ranked 447th).
Kaila Flaherty was Rockport-Fulton's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Lilly Tomlinson took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Orange Grove's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 54-40 bruising from Sinton.
Rockport-Fulton bumped their record down to 7-20 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Orange Grove, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Rockport-Fulton ended up a good deal behind Orange Grove in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, losing 36-19. Can Rockport-Fulton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
