Big Sky is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Butte, who was ranked 15th at the time (Big Sky was ranked third). The Eagles were the clear victors by an 18-9 margin over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Remington Howard, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3.3 RBI per game. Ethan Paugh was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Big Sky hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive games.

On the hitting side, Tristan Alvarez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Moreni, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Big Sky's record now sits at 6-1. As for Beaverhead County, their record is now 7-0.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Big Sky has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .535. However, it's not like Beaverhead County struggles in that department as they've averaged .540. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
