East Wake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Deion Perry out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Nikel Rogers was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
East Wake's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Southern Wayne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Wake will take on C.B. Aycock at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (C.B. Aycock is ranked 304th, while East Wake is ranked 279th). As for Southern Wayne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Johnston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
