The Doral Academy Firebirds put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Schoolhouse Prep 81-53 at home. The result was nothing new for Doral Academy, who have now won four games by 28 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Doral Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Victoria Valle, who scored 16 points along with 9 assists and 5 rebounds. The game was Valle's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Angelina Deleon, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
Doral Academy pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44 points. As for Schoolhouse Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Doral Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Mater Academy Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mater Academy Charter comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Schoolhouse Prep will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against North Broward Prep at 5:30 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully North Broward Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
