Kim/Branson received a tough blow as they fell 48-32 to Sierra Grande. Kim/Branson has struggled against Sierra Grande recently, as their match on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Kim/Branson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kolter Cranson. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Cranson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Trotor Watkins, who scored 5 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sierra Grande to victory, but perhaps none more so than Manuel Miranda, who scored 12 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Brian Ontiveros was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 3 steals.
Kim/Branson's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sierra Grande, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kim/Branson will face off against Cheraw at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cheraw has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Sierra Grande's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crowley County at 4:30 p.m. on December 15th.
