The Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They managed a 53-48 victory over Judah Christian on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kendall Schrock was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Hale, who scored four points along with three steals.
Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Judah Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond won't have much time to rest: their next match is against LeRoy at 3:30 p.m. on December 30th. LeRoy is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Judah Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Villa Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Villa Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Judah Christian likes a good challenge.
