Floyd Central proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Jackson County Generals a 1-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Floyd Central pushed their record up to 17-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs across that stretch. As for Jackson County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-8.

Floyd Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-10 win against Estill County on the 10th. As for Jackson County, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-4 victory against Cumberland County on the 10th.
