It was a good run, but The Batavia Blue Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 26-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Honeoye Falls-Lima. The matchup was a 13-13 toss-up at halftime, but Batavia was outscored by Honeoye Falls-Lima in the second.
Matthew Meacham looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Batavia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, their win was their fifth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Batavia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Honeoye Falls-Lima will head out on the road to face off against Monroe at 8:00 p.m. on November 11th. Monroe will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
