Grafton's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the York Falcons a 3-0 shutout. Grafton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

Grafton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for York, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record this season.

Grafton and York could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Clippers will challenge Jamestown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (31 vs. 2). Meanwhile, York (ranked 125th) will meet Smithfield (ranked 18th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
