The Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers will take on the Penn Cambria Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Westmont Hilltop knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Penn Cambria likes a good challenge.
Westmont Hilltop's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against River Valley as they made off with a 12-0 win. The game marked the Hilltoppers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Brady Gartner was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Bryce Goodman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. Justin Ray was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Penn Cambria ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Chestnut Ridge, sneaking past 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Like Westmont Hilltop, Penn Cambria also got a great game from a two-way player: Ryan Hanlon. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Hanlon was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caden Gibbons, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Penn Cambria pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.8 runs this season. As for Westmont Hilltop, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
Westmont Hilltop might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Penn Cambria when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Hilltoppers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
