Parkway added to the longest winning streak in 5A District 1 this week by beating Byrd, 52-29. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Panthers.
Parkway made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 133 from 294. The advance stemmed from a 52-29 victory over the Yellow Jackets last week.
Captain Shreve's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Gators feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eric Mosley has thrown for 218 yards this season, while Donovan Banks has 7 catches for 94 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Haughton takes on David Feaster's team. The Buccaneers are currently in third, while the Panthers are in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Haughton takes on Parkway. Rodney Guin's team has allowed 110 points this season, while the Panthers have given up 141. The Buccaneers allowed 14 points last week as they beat Captain Shreve.
Parkway led the league in scoring this week by notching 52 points on Byrd.
