It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Trinity Lutheran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Henryville 60-57. The win was just what Trinity Lutheran needed coming off of a 69-49 defeat in their prior match.
Trinity Lutheran found their leader in underclassman Hudson Lang, who scored 27 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lang has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Levi Pottschmidt, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, New Washington's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 50-37 defeat to Clarksville.
Trinity Lutheran's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for New Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
