Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Emmett was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Vallivue got themselves on the board against Caldwell on Friday, but Caldwell never followed suit. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 50-0 victory over the Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Onix Carson had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 191 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Tyler Buckley made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Vallivue wouldn't let Caldwell keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jayden Cagle, Eian Hendrickson, and Hendrickson picked up one apiece.
Emmett's record is now 4-1. As for Vallivue, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Friday's contest might be decided in the on the ground. Emmett has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 272.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Vallivue struggles in that department as they've been averaging 179.7. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
