Huss posted their biggest victory since February 2nd on Friday. They breezed by the Forestview Jaguars to the tune of 84-43. The Huskies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Huss got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaleila Littlejohn out in front who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. Littlejohn is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Brooklyn Swann was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards.
Huss smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 37 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matches.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amani Neely, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Forgan, who had four points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.
The victory got Huss back to even at 2-2. As for Forestview, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huss and North Gaston will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Huss has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Forestview will take on Crest in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Forestview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
